Location: Georgetown, TX (onsite)
\nSchedule: M-F, occasional weekend mornings
\nCompensation: $120,000 - $140,000

\n\n

The Role

\n\n

TSS builds, integrates, and deploys high performance compute and modular data centers for OEM partners and their customers. High complexity, high mix, short cycle, and volume climbing with AI infrastructure demand.

\n\n

You will lead a quality team of roughly 20 inside an operation of 85+, and grow it past 30 as the business scales.

\n\n

The quality system is certified and functioning. What it needs now is governance. Material review, document control, and supplier alignment with dual sign off are all being built or rebuilt right now. Today, decisions about non-conforming material get made informally and quickly. Your job is to install the infrastructure that makes those decisions consistent and traceable, without slowing the floor down.

\n\n

This is a build, not a policing role.

\n\n

What You'll Own

\n\n

The quality team: structure, hiring, and development from 20 toward 30
Material Review Board process and staffing
Document control and the supplier alignment / dual sign off process
Inspection, test, and workmanship standards for rack integration and modular builds
First pass yield and fallout reduction, measured and closed out
Incoming material quality, discrepancy resolution, and RMA with OEM partners
Root cause and corrective action that closes
Customer and OEM quality requirements, audits, and documentation packages
Quality goals and the roadmap to hit them

\n\n

What You Bring

\n\n

Required

\n\n

Engineering degree
Current or recent electromechanical manufacturing experience. EMS and systems integration environments translate directly, and recency matters more than total years
Experience leading a quality team, including growing one
Applied Six Sigma
A track record of reducing manufacturing cost through fallout reduction and process improvement
Specific, defensible examples of hard cost savings. Cost avoidance does not count here

\n\n

Preferred

\n\n

CQE, CQA, or equivalent
IPC-A-610 or J-STD workmanship standards
Data center, HPC, or IT hardware integration background
MRB and document control system ownership
Lean and value stream mapping, particularly scaling process during rapid growth

\n\n

How This Team Measures Itself

\n\n

Leaders here are expected to demonstrate savings worth roughly three times their salary. Hard savings, documented, not money moved between line items. If that standard sounds like the way you already think about your work, this will be a good fit. If it sounds like pressure, it probably isn't.

\n\n

Who This Fits

\n\n

Two profiles. A quality leader running an org this size in an electromechanical or EMS environment who wants a faster growth curve. Or a quality engineer who came up through the floor, has outgrown the individual contributor seat, and is ready to lead a team for the first time. The engineering depth to earn credibility on day one matters more than a career spent exclusively in quality.
